Everyone wants to take the easy route to success, but little want to actually do the hard work to get there. If teachers just hand out packets to kids it shows them that life will just hand out stuff for them, not get worked for. For example Ms. Williams, my current English teacher, gave us this essay out a clear prompt. At first it was really difficult to understand what she wanted from her students, she wanted us to think about the stuff we think about. I have never done that before and really could not think anymore. But as class went on, she showed us with her enthusiasm how to develop our thoughts. Now I understand. If teachers could find the power not to be lazy this could help our country in many ways.
If children are stuck doing packets and individual work all day at school, they could lose a lot of other skills. Imagine, being stuck at a desk just doing school work that would be a boring day. Students need to interact with one another, make friends. If teachers do not allow their students to have group work or even have some type of fun with one another, they will not develop their social skills that are essential later on in life.
As a student myself I dread the classes that have me do boring assignments. I understand not all work will be fun, but at least some work should. If students see that the teacher has no emotion, and does not really do anything exciting, the students will not be interested to come back.  Teachers need to keep us on our heels, have the students wanting more. There is numerous times where I just wanted to skip class because I felt that if I did miss, it would not affect my knowledge. If lazy teachers just changed a couple traits about themselves the teaching world can be greatly changed
